Doreen's Bio

Doreen Appiah is a librarian from Ghana who currently works as a Program Officer for the African Library and Information Associations and Institutions (AfLIA). Ms Appiah holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Information Studies with Political Science from the University of Ghana, a Higher National Diploma, and a Diploma in ICT from the Institute for the Management of Information Systems (IMIS) in the UK. 

Ms Appiah’s interests include Public Libraries, Sustainable Development, social media, Indigenous Knowledge, and the Cataloguing of Information resources.

 She previously worked as a Principal Technologist/Chief Library Assistant at CSIR-INSTI before joining AfLIA.
