It is time to put what you have learned to the test by curating an OER collection that your user community can use. Choose one of the two options below.
Option 1: Using an online platform (e.g. DSpace):
Log in to your chosen platform, create a new collection on a topic relevant to your user community, and add at least five OER with all necessary metadata fields completed. Paste the URL for your collection in the Moodle assignment tool.
Option 2: Using a spreadsheet:
Open a new spreadsheet file, identify at least eight metadata fields as your column headings, and add at least five OER as rows, completing all metadata for each resource. Use filters or conditional formatting to enhance usability. Upload the spreadsheet using the Moodle assignment tool.
Reflection task (both options)
Once you have created your collection, submit a short reflection of 100–150 words covering the following: what challenges did you face; how user-friendly was your chosen method; and how could you improve or expand your collection in the future.
